Troubleshooting Gmail Issues

Connection Problems

❌ "Access Denied" when connecting

  • Check you're signing in with the correct Google account
  • Ensure your admin hasn't restricted third-party apps
  • Try using an incognito/private browser window
  • Clear cookies and try again

❌ Emails not forwarding to Jelly

  • Verify forwarding is enabled in Gmail settings
  • Check the confirmation email was clicked
  • Look in Jelly's spam folder
  • Ensure no Gmail filters are blocking forwarding
  • Test with a simple email (no attachments)

❌ Can't send from Gmail address

  • Reconnect your Gmail account in Email Setup
  • Check Google hasn't revoked access
  • Verify you're selecting the Gmail address when composing
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting

Gmail + Jelly Best Practices

  • 🗂️ Archive in Gmail: Set Gmail to archive forwarded messages to keep your inbox clean
  • 🏷️ Use Labels: Create a Gmail label for "Forwarded to Jelly" for easy tracking
  • 📧 Separate Addresses: Use different Gmail addresses for different types of support (support@, billing@, etc.)
  • 🔄 Regular Checks: Periodically verify forwarding is still active
  • 🚫 Avoid Duplicates: Don't forward the same email from multiple Gmail accounts
